Three Iranian Sanshu athletes made it to the finals of the World Wushu Championships. According to the news agency of Iran Students (Isna), on Friday noon, in the continuation of the third day of the second round of wushu competitions in age groups, in the women’s sanshu section and in the youth category, Fateme Basati in the 60-kilogram weight with a count of two to zero in the semi-final stage of “Li” from defeated South Korea and advanced to the finals.
He has to fight with the representative of Romania tomorrow (Saturday) in the final match of this weight. Akbar Mohammadzadeh defeated an opponent from Indonesia with a score of 2–0 in the semi-final stage in the men’s sansho division and in the youth category in the weight of 52 kg and reached the finals of this weight competition.
His final opponent has not yet been determined.
In the 56-kilogram weight category, Ali Shir Aghaei defeated “Guang” from Macao with a score of 2–0 in the semi-final stage and made his way to the finals of this tournament.
This young Iranian Sanshukar will fight with “Sang J” from China tomorrow (Saturday) in the final match.
Also, in the women’s Sanshu section and in the Sode Ezzati youth category, Sanshukar, weighing -48 kg, fought an opponent from Vietnam in the semi-final stage and failed to advance to the final after losing to this opponent, and was satisfied with the bronze medal of this weight.
Fatemeh Dehghani, the other representative of Iran’s Sanshou, also lost to a Chinese opponent in the semi-final stage of -56 kg and did not advance to the finals of this weight competition. Therefore, Dehghani won another bronze medal for Iran on the third day of the Wushu World Championships to bring Iran’s medal tally to five.
Today (Friday), in the continuation of the third day of the second round of wushu competitions, in the youth category, in the semi-final stage, Sajjad Abbasi will face a Swiss opponent in the 70-kilogram weight.
Moin Taqvi, Sanshukar, weighing -75 kg, will meet with the representative of France. Hamidreza Lador will also face a Czech opponent in the weight of -80 kg.
